Mercury is making 1550 h.p. on 112 racing fuel and Goodwin is making 1947 h.p. on 93 octane pump gas from your local filling station. I'm not real impressed with Mercury.

Carson Brummett making 1600hp plus on some of his twin turbo motors with exceptionally realibility on pump gas and his dyno is conservative. From my understanding. He ships competent engines all over the world with no issues. I think everyone should look hard at his motors. There is a reason that his motors routinly win poker runs and top end shoot outs. Just my opinion, and like every other engine builder the motors are cheaper than mercruisers top guns.

Ok I'm with you on what you like for motors. But I have never ever seen a motor win a poker run. It's not a race. Please let's keep it that way.

Not to stir the pot but does any else offer a warrenty in that HP range? I am more of a drag race guy, and most of our engines are as is, your on your own warrenty.

According to Eddie Young's website he offers a 6 month warranty on his 1075 with the option to buy a longer warranty. As far as 1200-1400 engines I am not sure as it does not state it on his website.

I disagree. The cat I have now was 450k new. I paid 97k and spent 50k for new ilmors and drives.

In a few years pick one of these 1350 boats up for pennies on the dollar. Spend 100k for a refresh.

You may have new boat money but I dont.
