Steve,
These are the pics. I wanted to see. Truly amazing, the 35’ weighed 1080#? Can that be correct? Or am I doing the Kilo/pound thing incorrectly? 122 Mph with (2) 2.5’s Wow. #8 is the gravity defying boat. Does it still exist? What were the Specs On that? I remember thinking it ran like a hovercraft! That whole boat appears to generate Aerodynamic lift, not just the tunnel. The sides of the hull are in a positive angle of attack, as well as the tunnel? More Pics. Please.

Steve 1 – No big thing, I was just curious about the engine cowlings. Is there a purpose or is the shape part of the esthetics?

Philip
The Alpha 35 Cheetah Hull/Deck unit Weighed @ 1100 # In the Key West WC It Burned like 40 Gallons or so of Fuel! As you can see their are no strakes everything is in the Keel Pads.

I did not have the Computer system in those days like I have now, that was done with a Desk top Calculator! Back then everyone had a theory of how these things worked;

mine was very simple the Damm thing is an Air Scoop Period! And that was the basis of the lift Calculations!

Anyway in the Middle East it dominated for 2 years until they passed a new Anti Cheetah rule that S-Class can be only 10 meters 32’-9” in length

The Cheetah was 35’ The funny thing was This happened after the UIM WC in Abu Dhabi where it beat the Alleged lightning fast Buzzi Diesel S Boat . Cheetahs love Rough water BTW. I will Post more !
