Getting bad rash on keel from center bunks - any advise?
I have bad rash marks on my keel front of the center bunks from launching. Carpet is good, keel area is waxed, not really sure why such the deep rash (can feel it with your finger nail) besides the steep ramp I use (as stern floats, bow dips, weight on keel at front of center bunks till off trailer). Will try to float her off as much as possible next time out, but besides that, am I basically SOL due to my very steep ramp angle?

Make some new ones up and the next time you launch have the screw gun ready and swap them out. My center bunks are held on by four lag bolts per end. Treaded 2x6s, stainless staples, New stainless lags, Indoor/outdoor carpet. Make sure the staples are only on the underside of the boards and I routered the corners of the boards first. Helps keep the carpet from wearing.
