New Dash Panel w/Backlight Effect
Figured I would post a few pics of the new dash panel I just finished up for my Concept 30. I basically started with a sheet of clear acrylic. I have a vinyl plotter/cutter which allows me to make die-cut paint masks. The last 2 photos show the backlight glow, however it was just a trial so the entire logo isn't lit up. But it will give you a good idea on what the finished project will look like. Also the lines are straighter than they appear in the last photo. The light plays tricks with my iPhone camera, and the glow isn't quite as bright. It is much softer than what the photo shows.
I have another piece of acrylic, I may try and back light the switch labels too. But that's gonna be tuff...

I did something similar with a map cover on a Cig 35 mistress. I custom made this font to match the Cig font.

I absolutely love having my own Vinyl Plotter/Cutter. The cool projects I am now able to do is endless. It's probably one of the best, "impulse" buys I have ever made. I basically bought it last year after begging numerous local graphic guys to come take my money. So I finally gave up trying to get someone to take my money and decided to spend the money I would have spent having someone else do it, and bought a plotter and a few rolls of indoor vinyl to play with and two rolls of 8 year outdoor.
