Here we go again. After the race we hooked up with Shane and headed towards the East River. Started to power up and one motor died. Lifted the hatch and found the oil pressure wire to the fuel pump fell off. No big deal, put it back on and off we went. Just before powering up a monster wave came over the stern and splashed into the engine comartment soaking the ignition amplifier and blew the pick up in the distributor! Limped back to Liberty Landing to diagnose. Decided to limp back to Stony Point.

This is the second time this has happened in 1 month!! 1st time was under the GWB and it took 3 hrs to get back. This time I was not going to do it, because it took us 1.5 hrs. just to get to the GWB from Liberty Laning!!! Luckily my friends inlaws were members at the private marina just south of the GWB. His wife met us there and took us up to Stony Point to get my truck and trailer. If things weren't bad enough, about 3/4 of the way to Stony Pt. I realized my truck keys were in the boat!!!! AHHHHHHH, I thought they were going to kill me. Fortunately my friends met me at the marina, both had pick ups. We took my trailer off my truck, hooked it up to my friends truck, we headed back down, pulled the boat and he took it to my house, and my other friend took me back up to Stony Pt. to get my truck.

All I can say is your nothing without friends!!!!!!!!!!

Shane, thanks for offering to help. We made it home OK, at 10:30!

R Addiction,
I had about 20 minutes of daylight left as we left JFJ's at 730pm. Figured a 50-60mph trip back would get us there at just about dark .
Wind had died and the water was flat. Beautiful starry night (no moon). Even saw the Northern Lights as we past the Northeast river. . My wife did go below because she got chilly but I thought it was delightful. Can't post (I'd love to) no digital camera and no scanner. Besides I don't know what I'm doing anyway...I'll admit to that too
