Tell us what makes the diesel drive different than any other bravo x drive....????

If you buy a used one it didn't see extended periods of 6000 rpm abuse.

It's not the RPMs that kill the drive, it is torque and shock load. To my knowledge the drive is not constructed any different....wondering how they are magically stronger?

I wish someone would prove or disprove this . I have a diesel drive on my boat and was always told they have stronger gears to handle the torque of a diesel . Why would Merc specifically label the drive as Diesel if there were no difference ?

I thought it was all in the gearing. If so wouldn't everyone just buy those.
Btw how is the build coming?

The smart ones did buy one....lol Maybe BUP will scope out the part numbers and let us know . Being assembled as we speak .

So I just ordered the X Mod phase four as a replacement. I have heard good things about All American Drives and George seems to be a straight shooter. I will let you know how it turns out.

Wish you luck with this drive! Please let us know how the Phase 4 works out, how long before you get it? what ratio?
