F16 canopies:
Yes, Linder design is located on Long Island.
In addition to boat designing and consulting, we have exclusively represented Texstar, Grand Prairie, TX the manufacturer of F16
and the Two man wide Lavin canopy since 1989.
The canopies are factory new and are as of this year made of stronger material approx 40 % stronger than previous material.
The outer 1/8" acrylic ply has been replaced with 3/16" polycarbonate bonded to 1/2" poly. resulting in a stronger canopy.
Used, junk yard canopies should never be used for safety as tests have proven that they have greatly reduced strength approx 50 to 70% below original new canopies, plus new canopies have superior optics.
Anyone requiring canopies should not be misled to try and save a few bucks on used junk to save their life.
Canopies cost $2,500 to $2,100 depending on quantity.
Need more info. call 631-435-8496
Anyone needing a copy of the Lavin Guidelines (50 pages) let me know. They are FREE.
