I want to know what the Big Bear chamber of commerce paid to be number 2 on that list. Its a puddle compared to most of those other lakes, and "Breathtaking Mountains" come on. Maybe if you have never been to the Sierras or the Rockies.

I'm not a big fan of Havasu, not a great lake nor town. Granted its in Canada and wouldn't make the list Id rather go to Kelowna and Lake Okanagan here in BC, its easier then Havasu, 3hr drive opposed to 24hr+ drive. It has better hotels and restaurants. The lake is mostly wide open. Hate crowds. For the U.S. I usually do a trip to Lake Shasta, 15hr drive not bad, has o.k. services. Can also do the Sac river delta. Havasu is too much a zoo and too far from me to like it!
