Very insensitive comment. Hayim is doing something he loves and is raising money for a good cause in the process. He should be treated as a hero.

Hayim saved all of there lives in that last ditch effort to steer out of the way. Kudos. Glad everyone is ok.

Crazy video, it seems they were literally inches away from tragedy.

From a hull repair standpoint: Is that fixable or just strip the damaged hull and put your parts on a new hull?

I was wondering the same thing? It looks beyond repair.

Just because it's for a good cause doesn't make being dumber than a pile of rocks anything more special than being dumber than a pile of rocks.

148mph in 50-100' visibility is really OK? Travelling at 217ft/sec when you can only see 0.25 - 0.5 seconds of travel distance? boating towards a wall of fog and not having a SOP on cutting speed when visibility is less than a suitable distance (AT LEAST 200 yards) to avoid anything you come across, including BIG NAVIGATION BUOYS, THAT ARE DESIGNED TO BE ABLE TO BE SEEN? Did he get a personalised forecast that morning, warning of fog? If not, why not?

There are no accidents. There are only crashes. Human error, mechanical failure, health issues. Neither mechanical failure nor health issues were a factor here. Only human error.

Dumb dumb dumb is stil dumb dumb dumb.

As mentioned keep your comments to yourself. Hind sight is always 20/20 Mr MONDAY morning quarterback. It looks like they took all the precautions to be safe including a plane flying over top.

As you know in the marine environment forecasts are Sh!t. They don't know what's happening 10 minutes from now.

Whatever you would save in "rebuilding" the hull you would lose in resale anyway as the boat would be eternally known as the "buoy killer"

you do realize you are on offshoreonly. a performance boating forum where going fast, taking risks, and adrenaline is a lifestyle. Ask your question to 10 members on here and I bet 9 say yes...you don't like taking risks or going fast maybe you should find another sport/hobby. Or live in a bubble. I heard Ebola is on the rise again!!!
