Headed down Thursday to Sunday. A large group is planning to meet/depart on Friday from just in front of the no wake zone at Jamestown/State Dock Marina at 12:00est. Run to Lee's Ford marina for lunch.

Went last year and had a blast. Unfortantly this year it didn't pan out for us to make it.

I don't know why we don't just do an informal shootout on Friday evening out at the dam. Years and years ago the dam was the hottest place to pick up some runs on a Saturday night. That's that widest section of the lake and a great place to watch the sunset.

I miss those days. Great idea. Hope it catches on.

37 miles. First 30 should be pretty wide open on Friday. Once you turn and go up fishing creek, it has a few sharp corners. Be careful around needle point. It can be shallow awfully far out depending on exact water level.
