Default Hardy, Don't drink and drive!

Well this is a picture of what happens when someone uses your boat for a jump ramp. There were six people on board and three were standing when the boat was hit. It cleared the back of the boat as it went over. Five were seriously hurt, but not life threatening.. The AeroMed chopper was there, but they decided not to use it..

The prop is what cut the gash in the deck.. and missed the owner's wife's head by mere inches.

Holy Crap Dick!!!! Your friends are VERY lucky people. I can't believe everyone is going to survive such a devastating accident. The good Lord was watching over them for sure.

She was down in the cuddy laying down with her head right behind the point of impact. She sustained head injuries and was considered for the ride in the chopper. One lady standing in the back spent several days in the hospital with internal bleeding.. all are home now recouperating.

Again,, it is not wise to drink and drive..

Very Very lucky!!
Bordering on Miracle that no one was killed!!

The other boat apparently hit the starboard front and flew across to the port rear.. draw a line through the gash toward the rear of the boat..
Oh yeah and with three or four people sitting back there..

It was a smaller Check.. maybe 20'??? At 10:30pm. I heard them go around the point and it sounded like they were spinning it pretty fast, but I have no idea. It was lucky they were going so fast, it let them clear the standing people in the back of the boat.. and yes this boat had navigation lights on.. and under the lights by the park..

That’s amazing that no one was killed. I hate to see pictures like this. It reminds me of how fast things happen on the water. We can be as safe as possible and someone else makes a mistake and you have a tragedy. I have been asked many times why I always look behind the boat when I'm coming off of plane. I tell people I want to make sure no one is going to use us as a launching ramp.

Speed at night is a bad thing

It seems strange to me that boats do not have better/brighter lights. I have been out at night many times and never see another boat till we are right on it.

I’ll feel better with him off the water.
