Look closely at the Nortech. A friend went to look at it and it has issues. Lots of salt damage. For example look at the manifolds instead of headers that have been replaced so early.

I don't see that Nortech is in any way inferior to Cigarette. (not meaning these particular boats)

Thank's for the heads up, looking for a 43 nortech for a friend now. I like them not sure how fast a 700 boat would be ? 85?

PM Jeff Jassby, he has had a couple 43's and his last one was the Bentley blue/silver one and I think it ran 93 with 700's. His boat went to Texas and then BobtheBuilder's nephew bought it I believe (he named the boat "Bob's My Uncle"

I noticed the lack of headers but I thought that might be due to the header issue everyone seems to have with the mercs. Third Childhood, I agree that the Cig holds nothing over the Nortech as far as quality goes. Condition is a different thing, but build quality, I'd say they're pretty close.

I honestly like the Nortech better than the Cig, and would probably have chosen one over a Top Gun. Maybe the grass is greener, who knows?

This boat didn't cost 169K NEW 4 years ago!
You seem to keep forgetting that some boats are listed just so the boat is available to be bought. There are alot of people who buy boats and immediately list them incase someone else just has to have it. No need to "fire sale" a boat you are happy with and don't need to sell it.

39 top guns with 700's sell like hot cakes. That boat may be about 10k high but it will sell. I've been looking for one for a while and I have never seen one listed for under 280k. Price is based off demand

If I had the cash, I'd pick up that Nortech (assuming no salt issues and stuff) in a heartbeat. Cig has a better name because of how long they've been around and because of the number of years they've been building great boats. They're like the 'kleenex' of the go-fast boat world.

The boats are so different, though, that's it's not apples to apples.

Nortechs aren't as fast because of their weight, but they're much more luxurious. I would guess the Nortech would handle the rough stuff better than the Cig too. I think the build quality is top-notch either way.
