I heard on WTOP radio today that Congress was looking at making the some of Chesapeake Bay a Federal Park.... And making some tributaries off limits..Per WTOP but read this..
http://www.wtop.com/news/newsdetail.cfm?NewsId=638046
or go to WWW.WTOP.COM

I guess we need the CBPBA to get involved and I'll have to renew my membership.

Has anyone at the CPBBA been alrerted to this??

Doug this loks like it could be serious! we need to somehow find out more about this and voice our opinion as an organized group not a bunch of misinformed nitwits. This is my backyard and it bothers me. Anyone else know anything about this or where to find out more info??

I would hope that everyone on OSO would go to the site in Chuck's post and read the different proposals. then send in your comments via the link. Having any waterway taken over by the National Park Service is a very bad thing for recreational boaters and go fasts in particular. The recent bans of PWC are only the beginning and the park service has been much more open to the lies perpetrated by the enviro groups than local officials are. Park Service people are unelected and therefore unaccountable. And frankly most of the NPS are rabid enviromentalists so they are open to all the hogwash from the "green" groups.

If you want a real wake up call go take a gander at

www.bluewaternetwork.org

and see where they get their jollies-banning motorized vehicles of all kinds.
