HOT QUESTION! Pricing of 1997 36' Outlaw

I am in negotiations in buying a 1997 36' Outlaw with the SST package, Twin 385hp Mags 230 hrs on the boat, cockpit cover but no mooring cover. I would give the boat a 8.75 on a scale of 1 - 10. Only problem is the electric bolsters do not work (Quick Fix:confused: ) Please let me know what a awsome deal would be on this boat! And if anyone knows of any problems with this year, model! I have no idea what the pricing should be any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!:D

Please check to insure that the stringer system is in good condition. Baja had a recall on stringers in the 97, 98 year time frame. The factory made good on all the available boats in the field. It would be worth inquiring about. This boat will perform at approximately the mid 60 MPH range at best. It is a good boat if speed is not the priority in your boating needs. I believe that 85K would be an excellent deal for you. The small power is to your advantage when negotiating a price. You can always engine upgrade at a latter date. I hope that this information is beneficial. Good luck to you.

I am looking at a current edition of N.A.D.A. Marine Appaisal Guide, which is what my banker uses. It lists a `97 Outlaw 36' with twin 385 hp at $81K (average retail). You can add a little more for things like stereo system, trailer, etc...
I personally think more like $70-75K would be a good buy. You need to look at BoatTrader online and do some comparison. Then again, if you`re looking to spend that much $$$, you have most likely already done your homework.

You guys would be surprised...They hold their values better than most people think. I see most 98's 36's going for about 120's.
I couldn't find too many 97's for comparisson. I searched for 1996-1998.
