My "poor ol' Stinger" isn't all that fast. Maybe a 70 mph day here an there, but she gets run like hot sex... bangin hard all the way! Then tighten every nut, bolt & screw... I got hooked on old school offshore watching Magnums, Donzi's & Cigs coming up the St Clair river and going under the bridge into Lake Huron... lots of air time for those boats.

I spend enough on maintenance and unexpected issues. I don't have the pocketbook to go out and abuse on purpose.

come on dan, they are cigar boats. as like you just stay on top of the maintenance & have a program. we check the boat out each time it is run. we check it, check it again and a 3rd time. then each week we spend 1 - 4 hrs going over everything. hope to boat with you again, it was a blast if only for a short time.

I'd rather have a seller tell me that he ran the boat hard & maintained it meticulously. It sucks to have somebody try to lie to you about how they ran the boat that you might be looking at to purchase.

I would say i run hard but do not abuse. I go for the roughest water i can in a 24x7 and I'm not shy to go wake jumpin'. However, my little boat that could gets maintained like it was a Ferrari...

I try to dry the bottom of the hull off at least a couple times when I hit the water. Cruiser wakes make the best launch ramps and this hull flies and lands great. I am also a great lakes boater with only a 25' boat......so she gets ran in some rough often, otherwise id hardly ever find calm days to go boating. 2'-3' are often the norms for my usual waters. When it is truly nasty out on the big waters, I stay in the river but I still venture out for a short trip to catch some big ones. On the flip-side, the boat is extremely well maintained, cleaned religiously, and I know its limits and how it will react. I use it for what it was built for and not for being plain stupid and putting myself and passengers in jeopardy.
