Bring this bad boy to Mercury and have them re-map this 400R to 400ROS mapping and I bet this boat will see 8+MPH gain.

From the story:

"The boat is a little heavier than a typical Doug Wright mainly because it’s a pleasure boat not a raceboat,” he continued. “It doesn’t have a full interior—we opted for four Sparco racing seats—but it has a stereo system, intercom communications and all kinds of anodized hardware, including a cool carbon-fiber trim-switch handle and panel we made in house. It’s about 300 pounds heavier than a 32-foot raceboat because the bulkheads and stringers were reinforced and because the owner wanted a little more range so the boat was modified to accommodate two 100-gallon fuel tanks instead of the standard 60-gallon tanks.”
Matt- at the end of the day- the canopy aerodynamically is the biggest difference, I bet it's good for at least 5mph still over any pleasure boat. I bet if you put a canopy on Nastys 318 that it's easily a 120 mph boat. Now I'm not taking anything away from DW, as it's still at 124. 4 mph faster than the Skater still. So no one attack me on trying to hate!!

There is no doubt they are gaining momentum among the builders and consumers.
Spoke to Troy this morning and they plan to weigh this boat soon and that will help determine the real gains in HP vs weight and whether it is worth the money for the upgrade over the two strokes.
Is the 308 getting 400s? I assume
