In salt water boating we call them Dock LINES, and yes I do that, and then flush them for 10 minutes once I get back to the lift!

I tie mine to the opposing cleat or pole....about ankle high. HAH !

I do... plus I showed my buddy's 10 year old son how to and he makes sure all the lines in the raft up are flemished. lol.

Yeah, but I googled "coiled dock line" to find the image. Spring-line works...spring rope does not
