[QUOTE=scarab kv;4459531]Roger and Mark stopped into the shop Saturday while we were shuffling boats around.
The tractor I need to wiggle the center boat in, decided it didn't want to participate.
Roger is living proof that 10

Actually, it didn't take anywhere NEAR the amount of swearing that I thought it would.......LOL

Been accumulating parts.
Have secured a set of new TRS drives that have never been hung on a boat, new Merc hi-perf trim pumps and Mel is pretty sure he has a new set of the ball joint transom brackets for the hydraulic steering.
New drink holders arrived this week, but the holes were drilled opposite.
Nice piece, but not correct to the prototype.

$4500 a piece
Think I can get gimbals also, but the current ones are in nice shape.
Last year, I got a new left over Alpha one and gimbal for the mini Me for $2600

Illustrating how little I know and this is an old thread...there's a Vice painted Stinger sitting in Double R's yard at the moment. Name of the boat is "My Vice". Saw it putting through the Narrows during the local poker run this past summer. Any knowledge of this boat by chance? ( yeah I know I don't have a lot of info to offer)

First season of the show they used Chris Craft Stingers. I think they were dumped because Wellcraft offered up boats free of charge in lieu of some air time whereas Chris Craft wanted to sell them the boats.

A couple of Stingers were used, first one was white with some blue but the second one had some more color, I'm sure someone will post more info but I think the second one was close to the Wellcraft Miami Vice blue/greens. No doubt a few Stingers have been repainted since so anything is possible.

RR

EDIT: Some good info here on the boat you have seen.

Looks like it's not the original boat (different arch and it has the boarding platform) but it's been painted up pretty similar.

thanks RR...have to cruise past Double R on way out to see what arch that one has up there. That answers a few questions for me.

Welcome back from your safari. The best way to follow the owners, who's got these Wellcraft Scarab 38 KV boats, is on their website and Facebook page. Check 'em out. Nice site for sure.
