DCB M29 with Twin Verado 400R Engines Hits 113 MPH
DCB Performance Boats and Mercury Racing teamed up to test its twin Verado 400R-powered M29 and the top speed was pretty impressive.

Good Article Jason, Huge congrats to John. I have been speaking with him since he bought this boat from Javier. So glad that his rig finally got a fair shake. We have been kicking around all kinds of different advice. He was there on the phone when I got done water testing my rig and was very happy for me. I spoke to him earlier tonight when they finished and I could sense his smile coming thru the phone. It was ear to ear Im sure. Ha. He is a great guy for sure and I'm so happy that he got the boat where it deserves to be. Yay John. Steve.

John is truly an ambassador of the sport and a great person in general. Come to Lake Lanier for the Poker Run this summer Steve if you have the time. Always cool rides and even cooler people. Congrats again John.

Nice numbers. I'm glad to see in addition to just the high end top number, they posted what they got with some close to "real world" application..i.e. Full of fuel and more than 1 person

Why does it seem to be so challenging to get these 400's running well? On many of the boats tested, granted its still new, there hasnt been a significant gain off the bat. Are the new props what has been making all the difference? It just seems based on the additional HP and weight combination, there should be about a 10 mph gain, and this seems very hard to acheive.
