What hull would you recommend?......Wait....let me guess....A Sunsation? LOL

Well I would start with something with less than a 9 ft beam and kit car looks covered in logos!

1350s in that is a waste, surely the hull runs out of length real quick with 2700 HP no matter how blinged up it is!

I bet Saber would build a brand new boat that would impress! Worth giving them a call at least. You never know untill you explore your options. The last 28 and 34 are pretty amazing boats! And the new 28 outboard should be just as cool! A 47 would be INSANE!

Black Thunder is another option. They have a hull or two ready to be finished.

Would be nice to get a new boat and engines for close to the price range, especially when you factor in that EVERY used boat requires thousands more $$$ poured into her then we ever plan on, no matter how turn key we think it is!

The issue with those options is that he is not somebody who will keep a boat more than a couple years so resale is a big factor. I think Saber builds a great boat and you can most likely buy a brand new one for a lot less than a new OL, Nortech, Cig, etc.., but when it comes time to sell, your market is very limited.

Why not let somebody else take the hit, and go buy a 4-5 year old boat that is now $400k instead of $800k??

Not sure what Phil is looking for on this or if the non cabin is an issue:

There are a few Outerlimits with 1075's that may have enough wiggle room to pull the old motors sell them and drop in a pair of 1100/1350s

If repowering is an option the 46' american bad a$$ rough rider has been for sale forever. priced at 209k there is a lot of room there to throw in desired power. last time I saw it at Fall River it was in really good condition.
