This is an interesting discussion... Non-race type V-bottoms. I too am curious what others with "pleasure" power boats are getting with nice drives and big power.

I thought the OP was asking who currently has the fastest V Bottom, He didn't ask who is the current record holder.
Neither the outerlimits kilo or the fountain kilo have the power or set up to run those speeds today. So I ask the question a bit more specifically , right now today what is the fastest V bottom boat?

The Parvey's "coolerman" 43 Black Thunder is setup to break 145mph.....in a mile....they have not gone on record to admit their overall top speed yet...and as history shows over the years their speed keeps increasing. So common sense would tell you the boat is capable of easily breaking 155mph+.....

The 2015 sl50 OL will do 145 and that's full of options like bow and stern thrusters and the slr52 does 150 I believe and that thing is huge! I'm pretty sure you can put that fountain in the cabin..

And those speeds are in a Black Thunder which, in my opinion is a "condo" on the water. Even more impressive is the fact that the exhaust is run thru full time mufflers and this
43 has a full time pleasure cabin, not some stripped down, run the Shoot Out race hull.
