May be a dumb question but why does skater used laminated tanks over aluminum?

You can get more volume by using the sides and bottom of the boat as fuel tank. It would be a very complicated aluminum tank to follow the sides, bottom and go over the stringers. The aluminum would add weight but not really any structural strength like the laminate does. Aluminum welds can crack, and the aluminum will corrode in the salt water environment.

SIMRAD Electronics are what we are using.

I am treating the boat as two completely separate boats from port to starboard. One engine will have two batteries hooked to it and 1 GPS, and 1 vhf radio and that is it. The other engine will have two batteries and all the rest of the electrical components, bilge pumps, lights, air compressor, radio, blender, ect.

This is the starboard SIMRAD system, nema and Ethernet diagrams.

Seems to me like another benefit would be that if you have a breach to the hull in the location of one of the fuel tanks, you will lose the fuel in that tank, but it would keep the bilge from filling with water as well, since it's sealed/compartmentalized from the rest of the boat.
