Boat repair/ serial killer, Aisle 6
Went to Menard's to grab some supplies for my boat project. Strolled up to the counter with plastic sheeting, assorted saw blades, Tyvek suits, boot covers, etc.
Clerk- That'll be $54.63, will this be on your Menard's card?
Me- No, it'll be cash.
Clerk- Do you have a Menard's card with us?
Me- Well of course, but paying by credit card is how the cops link you back to the bodies. Don't you watch Dateline?
Chuckling as the words rolled out of my mouth didn't seem to calm the poor girl's apprehensiveness and confusion.
