Default 88mph center console

This guy is just getting the engines broken in but estimates it should run 90mph!

I wonder how fast it really is, we can figure this out.. The ad has the properller sizes, so how many rpms and what gear ratio do those V-8 Evinrudes have ? If they are 1.5 gear ratio at 5500 rpms with a 10% slip the boat would run a calculated 81 mph with the 26: Bravos turning 5500 rpm, which I think is optimistic but possible, but in 1987 when that boat was built, 81 mph was fast.

My $0.02 opinion, worthless opinion is it is an 81 mph boat. Pretty cool boat for that time frame.

He hasn't put big wheels on it yet because he was breaking the engines in. So it actually hasn't gone fast yet.

Now that's funny! 19 years later....breaking in the motors. But for $16K if the boat is decent, an offer of $10-12K would get someone alot boat. I do not want it, but someone -somewhere may. So what do you think, 79 mph? 80 mph? I am curious how fast it may actually run, an 88 mph Nodskog Speedo in 1987 might might really be an 80-81 gps speedo today.
