I own and operate a couple of service shops, one marine(high performance only please) and one automotive(electronics systems specialists)
I was born into a boating family and started buying water displacing income desolvers real early.
Started in a 8 foot sea flea with a 10hp
then a 14 foot cedar strip flat with a 40 merc lightning
then a 16 foor sidewinder low pro with a 175 merc
then a 22 foot indy with a 460

I live within an hours trailer ride of about 500 or so lakes ranging in size from the great lakes to puddles only a couple miles long.
We cottage on a 9 by 2 mile lake with direct access to a 30 by 35 mile lake. The best part is we can launch 10 minutes from home and then its a 50 mile boat ride to the cottage(sure beats weekend traffic)
:D
Its real interesting reading about everyone's background. It really shows you the different walks of life that performance boaters come from.A pretty diverse group I would say,but a group with one common interest(holes in the water that eat money)Very Kewl

I'm Brad and wife's name is Carrie, I'm 29 and she's 27 and we are expecting our first child on our 1st Wedding anniversary in just 29 days!!! We are very excited!!

I'm a Funeral Director and Embalmer (No, I'm not some kind of freak!! ) and I work at our (small town) Family Owned Funeral Home, it's a long tradition that my Great Grandfather started in 1908!!

She work's for her Family business also, they make Pressure sensitive labels (stickers)

Neither of us are in a "Get rich quick" business so that's why we live in a duplex for now and are hoping to buy more rental property.

I've been a "Boathead" since I could talk!! One of my first words was "BOOAUT" I started with a waverunner way back when, while I was working at a Marina at the Ozark's while I was going through Mortuary School. Then I started with a 23ft Velocity, then a 30ft Velocity, now a 33ft Fountain (That own half with a buddy) a 22ft Veolcity project boat and a 20ft Camo Pontoon (for duck hunting in style:cool: ) Oh yea, I also Throttled for Mike Gordon in his Factory 1 "One Vision" Race Boat back when I was single. We usually boat in the Ozarks when we can and also at Lake Perry here in Kansas when we can't get away as long. Lake of the Ozarks (LOTO) is about 3 hours from us and Perry is 45min.

Tow with a 1991 Extended Cab Chevy Dually (That's For Sale) My partner in the Fountain and I are looking for a CrewCab!

Wife drives a 2001 Grand Prix GTP and I drive a older, Ugly 4x4 Chevy truck back and forth to work and around town!!

I think that's enough for now!

Oh, Yea and a 1995 Dyna Wide Glide with 20in. Apes!! That I'm thinking of selling cause my riding buddy is pregnant, but she doesn't me want to sell it. She's Cool and I'm Very Lucky!!!
