I'm new to this DVD thing. I picked up a JVC and it skipped a lot. I returned it and bought the Sony Jeff recommends and no problems. I like the ability to randomly access any part of the disk.
Jeff started filming the races with a digital camera this year. He told me the camera was $35,000.00. Ouch!! I think DVD would be the best way to go. The older stuff is not going to matter as much quality wise since it was originally on tape. The new stuff will definitely benefit being on DVD. The first four club DVD's are exclusively CATS. The next DVD is supposed to be Factory race boats. I also purchased the video that Audio brought to D&B's last year. That DVD ROCKS! I'm happy with the price and quality.
I hope Jeff includes some older race footage in the club also. Maybe the Chicago race where most of the race boats missed the first turn and came through the backside of the spectator fleet. I thought Riveted was going to give us a little tap he was so close.
