38 Scarab Thunder - 1992

75 ish. pretty solid hulls but if its the original transom it will probably need one at some point. the 38 Scarab hull was unchanged other then the decks from the first Larry Smith / 377 all the way up to the step hull. Great handling rough water boat. 600SC with fives would be a bomber setup and nearly un breakable.

Top speed on the one we had here on the left coast was just over 80 mph if I remember correct it was 82. The problem was getting on plane, so the mounted the drives very low which hurt the speed numbers.

Thanks for your replies. Tge dealer is claiming 95mph. I was skeptical at that figure. Then the owner is claiming 105! I laughed!!
