I'm afraid to say out loud the luck I've had with a '94 Bravo 1 behind 875lbs of torque! 580ci.... 825hp.... I'm REAL careful... but I've been expecting to get towed home for years!

I have 1992 1.36 Bravos on the back of a 9500 lb Cig with 550 hp. I run hard, with a lot of air time and never had any problems with them.

Its like every piece of equipment that has machined parts. There are tolerences demanded by the realities of manufacturing. On one engine or drive, all the part dimensions may have been to the ideal and it lasts a long time. On others, the tolerences may be at one end or the other and bad things happen early.

Personally, I would like to see someone blueprinting drives like high performance engines can be blueprinted. I did it on a Bravo once that was continually blowing the top end and never had another problem with it.
