A co-worker owned an Envision, he had lots of problems with it, he ended up trading it in and took a bath. It was a good looking boat but that's where it ended. I also know Checkmate built them because I tied up rafting with one last summer.

Thanks partlowr. I know Envision boats were not quality built. He's having a hard time looking for one an all brands will help.

I know you all knocked Envision. Just giving you first hand experience. We have owned two. A 32 & 36. Still have the 36 with small blocks. The most dependable boat we've owned. Rock solid ride, minimal mechanical problems, etc. starts & crushes through any nasty LOTO water at a 35-40 MPH cruise. They are not speed demons but handle well. I had my 18 month old boy & newborn baby girl in the boat last year in some rough water & were very comfortable. They have a good amount of seating with the U shape design & has a deep bow.

Formula has theirs now more of a side cabin than mid but very nice, I just don't have enough friends to fill the back of my 350SS so why would I need more seating up front?

Oh yea, Four Winns has a 44 open bow now too.
