Default Boating staycation in Cocoa Beach for July 4th

Went to the SJR for Memorial Day, had a blast, but for July 4th were are going the staycation route, so from 7/1 to 7/4/16 we will be in the Banana and Indian Rivers with some locals. Anyone wishing to join us, just let me know. We will be in the 388, and my buddy might be in our 25 Talon......

Everbody knows that SJR stands for the San Jacinto River, unfortuneltly we just had the biggest flood since 1998 and it is all tore up.19.4 feet, there is going to be a lot of work to do

We stayed at Hontoons, outside Deland, awesome little resort. Ran the river from there to Lake George, and back.

Ahhh, no, here in FL it stands for Saint Johns River. Sorry to hear about all the flooding, stay safe.

Nice. I didn't even know that was there, I've stayed at Crystal Cove which is nice too. I may try to go later this summer, the SJR is pretty cool. I would join you guys for the 4th, but I'll be prepping my boat for Lanier.

T44,
I've stayed in Palatka before at the Holiday inn, but I'm not too found of the river quality up there with the GP Paper plant dumping all the chemicals in the river there. I almost bought a place on the river there, until I spoke with the FL DEP about the water quality!!! When is Lanier?
Thanks,
Dean

The Poker Run is July 14-17. I'm going up there on the 9th and staying for the whole week. I got a house on the lake, should be a blast. Heres the official thread:
