Question Magnum or Cig Project?

I am considering a project boat. Just wondered what people had to say about the differences between the 27 magnums and the 28 cigs. I'd consider a mid 30' project boat, but don't want to get too carried away. looking for that classic boat.

Magnums a true classic. A friend has a 71 or 72 sedan. A little heavy perhaps and a little slower ( no steps), but can that thing handle rough water. Plus , that boat is SOLID. I also know of another local guy who has a 27' sport with two healthy BB's and Bravo's and that sucker IS fast.
Good luck with either

There is a 27 sport for sale in Grand Haven, MI. It's at Baker Engineering (at least the last time I saw it). You might contact them (area code is 616 but I don't know the number). It was a project boat in my opinion....I think it was a 78??? Probably a running boat, but it needed some work. Looked really good from the road.....not so good up close....

the magnums have a bit more of a unique look over the cigs in my opinion. i'd like to find a complete boat. i don't want to have to rig the hull from scratch.

Dredgeking,

The way I see it it's a win win situation. But you gotta love the Magnum 27. The boat has great lines.

DK, the boat by me is a complete boat. Engine, TRS drive (I think, may have been a volvo of all things....), tabs, interior, etc..... It's drivable in it's present condition....just needs some TLC and cosmetic work. Even sitting on a trailer. If you want, I'll dig into it a bit more next week?? email me bajawaterfoul@aol.com
