Fellas,
I'd love to pick up a Nortech 43, but am wondering why this boat has been for sale for YEARS. The date added says 2012. 179k seems to be a good price for Nortech 1000s and #6s. What's going on? Any inside info??

Maybe because the boat sold for $160,000 6 years ago?

The rapid rise in costs of the new ones artificially drag the resale market upwards as well. Very rarely if the manufacturer comes out with a cheaper line or some type of promotion it can hurt the used market as well. Fountain did it with their "Executioner" series (lower trim level, price point over their Lightning Series), Sunsation did it with their "break out promotion" in 2004-05. Sunsation sold their 288 with a 496 HO and Mitcher T paint for 79K or the 32 Dominator for 99K (twin small blocks). Look at ads today, they are asking 75% of those prices now with 10-12 year old boats!
