Thanks for posting these pictures! Was a great day.
We're trying to put offshore power boating on the map in the area, and have a story coming out in a local newspaper in addition to some serious TV coverage on Fox 17 in Grand Rapids on Monday. Who says power boating is dying??.....

Great turn out...maybe powerboating is not dying, people are just dusting off what in the barn. LOL!

50 gallons of E85 for tow vehicle- $75.00
75 gallons of mid grade for boat- $187.50
WMO Long Distance Membership and helo fee- $45
Putting a 100 miles on, and hitting the only set of 5ft rollers on Lake Michigan yesterday putting the bow at 45*- Priceless!
(Way more better than sitting at the sandbar on the local inland lake)
Special thanks to Chris Dekker, Jeff Tibbe, and the rest of the WMO crew for putting on an awesome event, and Pete Boden for photographing it all.
The only downside is the potential divorce implications after actually laying eyes on that Saber with the twin Verados....

Here's a video with most of the boats we (Kevin Alferink) captured from the Helicopter - 4 hours of video whittled down to 14 minutes! We had some amazing equipment at the run as you can see throughout the video!

It's looking like this timeframe will work again next year, but we won't know for sure until we get confirmation from both the marina (Grand Haven Municipal is excited to have us again) and Boatwerks. Our goal is to lock down the event in the next few months so everyone has a huge advance notice for planning.
