I know how to measure wave height. I keep an eye on the NOAA weather wave bouys for conditions before I go out on the water. If you look back at my original post was talking about specifically 4ft wave chop 6 ft swell. I guess to clarify I should have mentioned wave period, but say 6 ft at 8seconds? But this is just rough idea. What conditions do you think you can run 60 in with a 30 ft motion or skater safely?

Big waves need big boats. This should get the job done at. 40 but I think she'd need more power to do it at 60.

Those things are actually pretty nice. Haven't benn up to Ross's in years, wondered if they were still building them.
