Default any real or Pro photographers out there?

I am looking for a good lense to shoot closeups, high speed, and distance shots.
I am looking for a lense for each of these applications.

35 millimeter canon eos body is what I have.
Thanks for any help

i a have phoenix 100-400mm zoom that works well for distance shots. it wsprettyc heap too like $300 new. It works on eth EOS body so you get all the auto features.

as for close up and high speed. For up close i dunno but macro lenses are EXPENSIVE!!! and high speed stuff you just need lots of light (or fast film, but as you know super fast stuff gets grainey)so a low f lense would be the way to go.

Look on ebay there is always bunch of stuff there.

unless you develop your own stuff go with a digital SLR if you can afford it. they are SWEET!!!!!!!! and with photoshop you have a "darkroom"

i shoot b&w on film for fun becasue i have darkroom (bough the whole setup off ebay for $200) and i iwish i had digital SLR for color.

The best versatile lens on the market is the Cannon 100-400 with image stabalizer. Around 2000. Dig or 35mm.

jb: Are you looking to buy or to borrow for a one time thing? I'm nearby and have a Canon 28-80, a Tamron 28-200, and a Tamron 200-400 that I use on a Canon Elan body.

None of them are for sale ... but if you wanted to try one out, maybe it could be arranged. If you want to do it all with one lense the Tamron 28-200 is very good.

Let me know.

You can call me at 445-8588 days.

I have a Canon EOS A2E and an A2...

I used to shoot for Winston Cup Scene...

I have a Canon 70-300mm F/2.8, Canon 28-80mm F/2.8, Canon 600mm and many more lens that i don't even look at.... These three I have used the most with high speed.... I have also used a 2x extender in a pinch.

I recommend for high speed shots a F/2.5 over a F/5.6 and Fuji 400 speed film, I never had a problem with Fuji film, Kodak seems to get grainy especially when enlarging...

Hope this helps...

Regards,
Heather
