Was the Dial 911 boat always called that or was it called something else?
As far as favourites go V has to be unleashed and cat has to be rons 368.
Anybody know if their is video of the black thunder run?

. The design with the large open, flat area between the sponsons is what concerns me on our water. Afraid that stuffing that at even at a moderate speed would turn it into a submarine with a huge amount of water coming directly through the boat. Having got a chance to watch it run for the 1st time this weekend, I was feeling a little better about it as it runs with higher nose than I would have thought. The video is not so much about driver error, as we've all done some questionable things when pushing a boat, but how forgiving a design is when we screw up. Would love to hear the thoughts of anyone that has run hard in one. It's obviously a great design to pull those kind of speeds.

The Parvey's family accomplishment of amazing.
But........... a Kilo and Shootout are completely different, and not similiar.
The most recent APBA Vee bottom record was 180+ ( April 2014-Washington NC).with an Outerlimits
The shootout is simply the top speed at the end of the 1 mile course.
A Kilo record, is much more sophisticated, and is the average speed over the course, and averaged in both directions.
