Attention Northern Illinois Chain-O-Lake boaters

If any Chain-O-Lake boaters are looking for some fun this weekend there is a "Northern Illinois Offshore Club" sponsored run on Sunday October 6th. It is called the "River Shiver," it is a run through the "Chain" to the locks with several stops along the way to meet the rest of the gang. It is a great way to meet people with simular interests as yourself.
Sunday's Itinerary is as follows:
Meet at Electric Harbor at 9:30 a.m.
Depart from Electric Harbor by 11:00 a.m.
Travel through the entire "Chain" north of the locks and there are several stops to be annonced at the morning meeting.
Prizes to be awarded afterwards.

If interested please post and I will answer questions.
:D :p :D

Bob,
I have heard it’s a good time on this run. I am still sick from last week so I'm not going to be able to go this year. Next year I wouldn't mind going if you think my boat wouldn't have any problems with water depth. How are the water depths on the run? Is there good docking? See you at Hammond.

CHICAGO OFFSHORE POWERBOAT SQUADRON COPS!
I thought I'd help you out Jack. :D Nothing like stepping on someone else's thread for some self-promotion! :p :D
Sorry Bob!
Dan

BTW, Nice Avatar!

I assume "Electric Harbor" is on the south end and we'll be traveling north. I'm not sure if I can get the boat ready in time, but if I do, I'll need some good directions. Please post all the info that you can as I've only been on the chain once.

Dan,
Sorry to hear that you are still under the weather.

Jack,
There is always room for one more, if you don't have a boat up and running by Sunday give me a call ((847) 691-2533 Cell) and you can ride along with me.

As for the water depth, there are some 40'+ that make the run so we run where it is deep enough for the them.

As for the cross selling, go for it, I beleive that most who run on the big pond are looking for more people to run with.

More boats=More women=More fun!!!!
:D ;) :D

I've done the Shiver for the last 2 years - it's a blast!! Since G-Force is still a soggy mess at my marina, I'll either drop in my other 32' Pachanga (Kyrptonite) or hop a ride on my friends boat -we're bringing at least 3 boats this year.
See you out there!
Cord - if you want to do the Shiver shoot me an e-mail and we can hook up - I'd love to see your new ride.:D

G-you have mail!

Sweet.

I dont have an offshore boat right now, but maybe I'll still follow you guys in my Donzi express cruiser ( hey, my last boat was a Cig Cafe Racer . . that's good enough to tag along, no :D ?)

If not, I'll wave to you guys as you go through the no-wake zone at the south end of Fox Lake and Nippersink Lake ( I live in the gray town-houses right there :) )

- Jamie

Jamie,
All are invited, no matter what the boat is. We're just out for a good time.
