Default loking to buy a pr of outboards this jan for my 32 manta cc looking for feedback

Hey guys looking for some feedback pros and cons on the big 4t engines in the 250 to 350hp range.

Im looking for the longest warranty possible, good fuel economy at cruise, easy on corrossion as its going to live in the water and take a trip about an hour and a half long each way daily.

I was looking at verado 350s but was told they have corrosion issues anyone hearing this?

I was also told merc colombia wont honor a warranty on an engine from the states, i will contact merc in the am and confirm this. Thx in advance for any pertinant info, rm

What do you guys think is the best bang for the buck in that size range?

If it was my money, and it HAD to be 4 stroke, bang for the buck, I'd go with Suzuki DF250s. 3yr (limited) warranty/ 3yr extended available, lighter than most, with decent torque, lower gear ratio (higher numerically), and good reliability. Cheap and naturally aspirated, too. Now give me ANY option and it'd be ETEC or 300XS.

Been happy with my yamaha 300 4 strokes... quiet, great mpg. Think they're at 75hrs or so. Probably time for a refresh

Over on scream amd fly i was reading that the 300 e tecs were blowing up lower units often...

2t oil is 6.50 a qt down here in colombia and the boat is a business moving people to my island hostel.
per 100 hours of use there is a differemce of 178 qts of oil being used per pair of engines

I have Verado 300's but go with Verado 350's all the way. Standard warranties. Corrosion issue is nonsense. Never heard of it. Every service is easily done by a novice with minimal basic tools. First oil change at 100 hours and second at 300. The fresh water flush is easily accessible on the side of the cowl. Flush your engines and tilt the engines out of water and you will never have issues. Good luck
