Funny thing, we had a defective custom made plug where the ground strap did come off. It still fired off even without the ground strap.

You should run the Bosch 4 prong spark plugs no indexing required. The guy working at Advanced Auto said they will give you four times the spark and they are better for your O2 sensors.

Keeps the spark nice and shielded from getting put out by turbulence in the chamber.... LOL

The rocket scientist at the counter of autozone said theyd give you four times the spark. Did ya slap the stupid outa him?

Only time I index them is when the motor is making gobs of cylinder pressure. What can and will happen with a lot of pressure is it could potentially open or close the ground strap depending on which direction the open end is facing...

Classic !

Same guy must work near hear. LOL. I can't tell you how many times I've removed those from vehicles that have misfire issues.As a note, there are several manufacturers that use their 2 ground strap plugs as OE. Cough, Germans. LOl.

Yup. Only few times I've had to do it is with big dome.big compression engines where ground strap was being closed.

Yup. And any engine with heads off getting performance heads / camshaft, and etc.
