Default effect of 4t vs 2t eggbeater on small boats

I was wondering if the addl weight of a big 350 or 400hp 4t would upset the balance and handling of the boat. Somethimg like a supper boat for instance. I saw am awesome looking challenger with twin merc 260s on it but no idea how it rode out other than it was fast as hell and went over 100. Whats the weight diff between a merc 300 2t and a 400 verado 200lbs. They fo set up the 2t's with a 15" mid im sure 20" is the shortest mid for the verados. Thx for any info, rm
