Here's a 2000 just listed, ready to go on trailer asking 60k. There's always a small number for sale at varying prices.

Do the maths and you'll always be in the red but if pride of ownership is worth paying for then go for it.

there was at least (1) 98 AVS built, that I know of, but it was actually a 31, not 33. (same boat without molded platform, as already mentioned, although it was not liner construction)
No shot at the OP, but I have talked to quite a few people in the past, who refer to their regular 31s as AVS boats, just because they think that is part of the name of sorts.

Quite a few advertised on Yachtworld, boattrader etc........ Here's one with 41 hours! May be an old add but looks pretty nice.

This is the one. So $26000 US
People saying there weren't many 98 33's has me questioning whether it is a 33 or a 31 plus platform

I take it you are in Australia? (I'm from Melbourne)
Bit hard to compare with stuff in the U.S. because of the shipping and import costs. Vendors usually think they should get some of their money back but they generally won't. There aren't a lot of real go fast offshore boats to choose from in Aus compared to America, you have to take what comes up and negotiate as best as you can.
If that HIN is correct, might be someone on here who can identify the model for you. (WELDWA22D898)
Good luck mate.
