The boat should run 84 plus! I have had more then 50 29 Fevers and the slowest was 70 with a 496. Most of the 29's would hit 79-80 light load. I had a 600SCI run 86MPH. The boat is worth the money! Sell the Ilmor or add weight to the back and set it up. 29's are hard to come by!

Ok buddy! Glad a dealer could chime in! I'm all for them making there money. But asking $19,000 above what they paid for boat is outright a crook in my book.

It's 3:30 on a Tueday are you working? Who's paying for your time? $59,000 minus $45,000 is a $14,000 Mark-up. How much should they ask?

Asking price was 45,000. And being that I know many dealers they would never pay asking price!

You should have bought it! I would have paid $45k for it if it was close to me. 29 fevers are hard to come by and a new one would be over $180k The motor alone is still worth $20k. A clean one with a 525EFI will bring $60-80k and a 496ho is 45-55k. It should run 80++. If it doesn't it needs some more set-up.

What's up with your Comp? Early summer Randy Hartman called me out of the blue and told me had had bought it but I see it's still for sale?

I saw that on a post. I guess Randy never bought it? LOL These are the pictures I took of the boat. It's heading to SoCal on the next clear day. https://www.flickr.com/photos/142787...57673599493756 Joe 253-606-2816

If I had the chance I would have jumped all over it for 45. But as I stated it was sold to boat dealer that has it now. As for 29' fever being hard to come by? There are about 15 of them for sale at the moment. I don't think the 29' is hard find. Perhaps the 27'. As for what you stated price wise your dead on! Not sure why you have it out for me at moment in this thread. We were simple talking about the boat for sale and set up. This boat was offered for sale last spring for cheap and now a dealer has it , and trying to squeeze every dollar out of it with no history of build

sorry ,but its not what someone else paid for boat that matters but what matters is what the boat is worth.
