Scarab Jet Sprint Owners

I have been contacted by
a few Owners of these Boats about forming a Club
to share comments.
All Scarab Jet Sprints from Team Scarab, Wellcraft and the Universal Hollywood an florida Stunt shows are
Welcome.
6 so far with Me and Nigel
Hook.
There were 10 16ft made at TeamScarab with mine being #1 and Nigels #2, There were 8 18.5ft built for the Stunt Shows.
Im trying to find out from
a Friend at Wellcraft what
the production total was.
Thanks Mike J.

there was 2 at the dealer when I bought my 22 in 99. I think that they were both th 18's. I have since seen 2 in the boat trader. big bucks for a jet boat, but I know of 2 that were in the area.
anywho
buy a damn prop jobby. I asked the dealer what the heck they where and he told me that wellcraft built them due to the big manetee scare and they thought that people would rather buy a jet boat. I guess that performance people dont want a jet or dont care about a fish that is so stupid that it stays on top of the water and cant hear. I think this was called Darwinism. survival of the fittest. If it wasnt for the stm club, they would all be gone in Fla and survive just fine in their native waters. WHERE there belong!!!!
so now you know how I feel about that stupid fish that ruins my waterways. and to think, when I boated in NJ I said " who cares about that sea cow, it will never bother me, how wrong I was!!!!!!!
JUST venting
Billy

Im sure the dealer that told you that was also a
Fountain dealer.
The Jet Sprint was designed in SoCalif and I
have never seen a Manatee
out here.
The Boat was designed as
a 16ft and was to be something that someone on
a Jet Ski that now had a family would be able to
Drive.
Wellcrafts SO CALLED experts Made the Boat into
a 18ft Wide body.
And because Volvo owns 20%
of Wellcraft(Genmar) they
put the Low performance
Motors in a Very heavy Hull.
Now Im venting
