I am super lucky and have a wife that is even more crazy about boating then me. I have no idea on cost because she hides the bills from me!! I look at boating by hours on the water. Not by miles or running. For a limited time for boating in our area, we spend a ton of time on the water.

Don't care, if I did care I am sure I would start crying and sell the boat.

No but had a twin blown fountain . Payments insurance storage rebuilding drives engines full dash makeover trailer upgrades detailing fuel etc etc. And then use it only about 30 hours a year for 5 years and do the math.

Reading fast, I initially thought you said you got blown by twins in your Fountain. If discovered, this could exceed the cost of a girl friend.

I made the mistake of calculating it once, and this is the yearly rundown for a guy like me in Michigan with a short season:

-Gas: $5,000
-Insurance: $1,000
-In/out service: $3,500
-Winter storage: $1,800
-Standard maintenance: $2,000
-OH S**T, I BROKE.....: $3,000
-Beer: $1,000
-1 Poker Run: $2,000
-Rebuilds @ $35k every 5 yrs: $7,000/yr
TOTAL: $26,300

30 rides at twice per week for 15 weeks = $876 per ride.

Last time I checked, a METH ADDICTION was way the hell cheaper!!

I figured the cost per hour for the original owner of my boat. Just a little over $1800 per hour just for depreciation. Basic cost of boating = what you pay for it + what you pay while you own it - what you sell it for / hours you use it = cost per hour.
