So we have 5 only -

I have all my diacom that is needed and have since like around 1993 / 1994. plus other scan tools including the Merc dealer scan tools / software.

10 Diacoms gets me into the dealer account to sell these and advertisement - that's why I am doing this and thought what ever the discount for the up front 10 would be - I would pass on however here to OSO members.. We need 10 but the turn out is slow to say the least. I will keep at it here but not for weeks on end to get 10.

Thanks so far and I am trying. I understand boaters have to spend money that prob did not want to. Will have to say that this whole board works on their own stuff, just thought it would be at least 25 by now just saying no other intent. . .

Mike IMO this applies to you 4 sure since you work on boats. Do not forget you can charge someone to scan their engine(s) The scan tool will pay for itself
ok,that is what i want john.

I would be in on one if you had done this last year , I broke down and got one because a service call or two and it pays for itself.
In case someone is on the fence they are worth the price .......helped a fellow boater get back running on a important weekend ( iac ) .
The run under load and drop individual cylinders test helped me find a bad plug wire on mine , very nice feature

Mike Im still hanging in there. I am so shocked about this with only 5 takers out of 1500 views from this thread. Even the rec boaters and wakeboard boaters are buying scan tools for their own personal diagnostics. This is one of the reasons why I want wanted the dealer buy in. Instead of me sending my own customers straight to Diacom - I can just sell them one on the spot then a basic charge of showing how to operate it and read the scan.

You know the next guy that post his 496 is running bad will be getting directed to this post. What is there 10 K of 496 owners just on this site ? And I am just talking about the 496 alone and 10 scan tools buy in. Still can not believe it.

Like I said the scan tool will over pay for itself as you can charge for scanning engines. Or even go in with a buddy deal as he might have a MEFI engine or 2 and you have engine(s) of ECM 555 / or PCM 555 for an example.

You will need 2 or even 3 manuals. The reason I say 3 is because for the diagnostic end it is good to have the second or third version of it and the 4 the version of the PCM 555 diagnostic manual. Then you have the mechanical side manual. For a 2004 model that would be 1 st version manual.

Let me know if I can help with 2 manuals 100 bucks ship / or 3 manuals 150 shipped. if I recall 2 of these manuals are brand new that I have.

with diacom you need adaptor 94006 and if you wanted the kit to include the MEFI adaptor (not for your 496) that would be $ 599 - would have to get Diacom to take out the MEFI adaptor 94005 then replace with what you need 94006 for ECM 555 / PCM 555 only. That would or should be $499. If we all wait too long here - who knows when diacom pricing goes up. Their website site is not updated anyways.
