Default Malich Buys RPM Powerboats, Shows Off 26-Foot Cat in L.A.

The new (and enthusiastic) owner of RPM Powerboats, Joe Malich, was beyond excited to show off a "new" 26 Redline at last weekend's Los Angeles Boat Show.

Always loved the lines of those boats and the rigging was some of the best I have seen. Hope they continue to have success and grow with the new ownership.

The response we had couldn't have been better! I have attended many shows as a dealer and never got this much attention. The RPM is a 10 year old design that was way ahead of it's time. We had people drive as much as 400 miles to get a look at the boat. I wanted one bad in 2007 when Steve Tripp introduced the boat. At the time I was selling many Fountains, Skaters, Eliminators, MTI's, Donzi's and Outerlimits. It was a shame what happened to Steve and I plan to build the boat around the same process only adding what the West Coast has to offer for state of the art gel-coat designs. We will offer it as an outboard and I can only hope it will perform as well as the I/O model. The 525efi has been tested as high as 98 MPH and we hope to hit over 100 with the 565EFI. Thanks for all the encouragement we have received!
