How many of these boats were built by Bobby? I don`t have a great depth of knowledge on Apache history, just a question.

Glad to see the Eric has done his homework and knows the facts!

Roger,
That post is not about who built what, only that Apache Powerboats have won more World & National Titles than was given mention to previously in this thread. And I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few. |

In my opinion, many of todays boats wouldn't last in true offshore racing...for instance, the Cigarette "Yachts International" would more than likely break up before it finished a "TRUE" Miami to Bimini and back race...so where is the actual testing? There is none, just drag racing in a circle. MILLIONS of dollars went into the Apache program were they were "TESTED" and perfected in "Real" offshore conditions...Apache doesn't brag about TOP END smooth water speed, they are seeking out the customer who wants something strong, comfortable and performs FANFKNTASTIC in big seas. Ride in any other boat, then jump into an Apache - same day, same seas - and then YOU be the judge!
TooOld - you should know, you have one of the REAL Cigarettes that set their standards back then! |
