I have a set of 2 piece covers from KE. Can't wait to put 'em on:D

People are starting to use colored carbon fiber now for various dash components. I haven't seen any (yet), but I would think that a set of blue (purple, magenta, whatever) carbon valve covers would be really nice.

The 2 piece KE's are awesome. I can have the covers off and be through the lash in the amount of time it used to take just getting the covers off.:rolleyes:

the cool welded covers won't come off unless the exhaust is removed. Tim, depending on the headers and your engine setup, you may have a bear of a time adjusting valves. I have Imco headers and valve covers on one of my boats and although they're supposed to allow you to remove the covers without removing the exhaust, you still have to loosen it to get the nuts off the valve covers.

Many times the welded covers won't even fit because the exhaust headers/manifold will hit them.

Dan-when I bought the exhaust, I had some extra room added between the covers and the header. They drop on with room to spare.

Timunicin-all of those that were from the 80's would have been custom one offs. You could proably come up with something simular by contacting one of the companies that do custom cnc art work. There are a couple of shops on the internet that concentrate on steering wheels and rims, they should be able to do something like that.
