My old 99 382 Fastech is for sale at LOTO Big thunder 500hp's Gen AC and runs mid 70's. I know its a ways away from you but give Ed a call, we loved that boat.

When you say "quality", just curious what you are referring to? Vinyl thickness? Stitching? Bolster stands? Deck hatches? Cabin door latch? Wiring? Rigging?

or are we talking, Lamination schedule, gelcoat finish, hull straightness, deck to hull construction, stringer configuration, and so on?

Only reason I ask, is I see the term "quality" used often, as well as "fit and finish". Im not sure what the terms and conditions are of those scenerios.

The zx has very good quality glass work, rigging, fit and finish and quality materials. It's not rigged like a cig or o/l but much better than most. Not exactly what I consider a poker run boat but a very good, big, weekend go fast.

38zx is a beast of a boat, you'll need a good tow rig for that and you won't have a ton of speed. Trade-offs. Do you want speed or better sleeping accommodations? IMO, speed wins every time.
