yes price does pay a role in make a prop choice...but quality is first and fore-most for me...DON'T make the mistake in thinking overall thinner is better....SO many things pay a role in a "lab finished" prop....At the VERY least give Throttle-Up props a call and talk with them about YOUR application and what you want to do!...877 842 6855..........they will exceed your expectations....i think their site is www.throttle-up.com

Thanks all. I'll start lighting up the phone lines.

tpmarine.com,
I've seen Merc labbed props for as low as $ 650. Your price of $999 is, well way too high; sorry. :(

aero-offshore,
Do you have a number for stern drive spec?

JUSTONCE 10-11-2002 08:00 AM

there is a shop called hydromotive they make the props for a good portion of the supervee's and big cats. from what i've found there pretty good quality. #(330)425-4266 give em a call can't hurt. they probrably arent cheapest but there good.

Another thought is, go to Google... search engine and do a search for "marine propellors" you will get dozens of sources not mentioned here. :D

BillR,

Can you fill me in on where you have seen "mercury lab finished" props for $650.00. I would appreciate it because that is below my dealer cost and I would like to start buying from this company.:)

BillR,

I believe I remember reading members having Mercury Props, like a bravo 1 4blade or something and using an aftermarket Lab finishing company like York and getting better numbers and it is cheaper.

Just kinda wondering why you are so set on Merc labbed props.

Mark

It was a vendor on this board. Said something like labbed B1 from $ 650.00. I think the key word is "from".
He didn't have my size tho. . . funny that!
